Mark Jr. grew up in a family that was passionate about community involvement, public affairs, and politics. A Columbia native, Mark went on to Wofford College where he graduated with a B.A. in Business – Economics, and a minor in Government. During his studies at Wofford, he studied International Relations and Trade at the Albert Ludwig School in Freiburg, Germany. After graduation, Mark became a banker in Charleston, SC for several years. After finding his calling, Mark Jr. returned to Columbia and attended the University of South Carolina – School of Law.
While a law student, Mark served as Associate Justice of the USC Mock Trial Team, President of the SCAJ Student Bar, Social Vice-Chairman for the USC School of Law Student Body, and was the student liaison to several Faculty Committees. During his time in law school, Mark clerked for the South Carolina Senate, Chappell, Smith and Arden, and completed an externship with the Supreme Court of South Carolina.
Mark has been a key contributor to our team of Columbia personal injury attorneys, helping countless clients achieve successful results in cases involving tractor trailer collisions, dog bites, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death lawsuits, consumer law violations, and premises liability claims. His dedication and expertise have made a significant impact on the lives of those he represents.
During this time, Mark has litigated numerous civil cases which have resulted in multi-million dollar settlements in both state and federal courts. Mark is based out of Columbia, but still maintains strong ties along the low country where he serves as co-counsel in many cases.
Currently, Mark is active in several organizations that work to diligently advance the practice of law. Currently he serves as the South Carolina Revitalization Board Member to the American Association for Justice, and is involved with the South Carolina Association for Justice (SCAJ), AAJ’s Trucking Litigation Group, the Richland County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar.
In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, working on old cars and boats, and cheering on his Gamecocks and Wofford Terriers!
